Why?
Why am I running for Judge? My first and foremost priority is the safety of my family and the community in which we live. I believe the judiciary needs to take a more active role to ensure the safety of our community. Judges have a broad discretion within the sentencing guidelines. Sentencing should never be a “one-size fits all” production line. Judges must always maintain judicial independence. I have had the benefit of practicing throughout the State in other Superior Courts.
I can bring the knowledge gained from that exposure to Kitsap County to run a more efficient courtroom. I would be an asset to the community as Superior Court Judge.

Why would I make a good Judge? I have over 24 years of experience representing various individuals and corporations in numerous matters. Having a diverse practice has given me a vast knowledge of the various types of laws. When a Judge comes to the bench with an extensive background and experience in a variety of laws such as, corporate law, family law, property law, criminal law, it benefits the entire judicial system.

Why should you vote for me? I am involved in our community on a personal level. I understand the concerns of the community. I have the knowledge of law and strength of character to maintain firm control of the courtroom necessary to avoid lengthy and costly trials. I have the compassion and character that is necessary in order to balance the rights of the accused, the victim’s desire for justice, and the obligation to protect and serve the public. I care about the community and I am qualified.
